The New York Knicks are on the brink of their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999 after a decisive 121-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. With this win, the Knicks have secured a dominant 3-0 lead in the series, needing just one more victory to complete the sweep and advance.

Jalen Brunson spearheaded the Knicks’ offense with an impressive 30 points. Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby chipped in with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Karl-Anthony Towns was also instrumental in maintaining the team’s momentum, contributing 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. New York’s offensive prowess was on full display as they shot nearly 56% from the field, including 11 successful three-pointers, and made 24 of 27 free throws.

Throughout the game, the Knicks maintained control, building an early lead and never relinquishing it. The team’s performance was bolstered by crucial three-point shots from Landry Shamet in the fourth quarter. As the final buzzer sounded, fans in the arena erupted in celebration, marking the Knicks’ 10th consecutive postseason victory, a feat achieved by only six other teams in NBA history.

Despite the efforts of Cleveland’s Evan Mobley, who scored 24 points, and Donovan Mitchell, who added 23, the Cavaliers struggled to keep up with New York’s energy and pace. The team’s woes were compounded by their difficulties with long-range shooting, allowing the Knicks to capitalize and maintain their advantage.

Knicks coach Mike Brown commended his team’s fast-paced play and defensive discipline, emphasizing the importance of staying focused as they approach the pivotal Game 4. As the Cavaliers face potential elimination, the Knicks stand poised to reclaim a spot in the NBA Finals, ending a more than two-decade-long wait for the franchise and its fans.
