US Ambassador to Mexico, Ronald Johnson, recently announced that Mexico would be granted access to the US drone procurement market, underscoring the ongoing defense collaboration between the countries. In a related move, President Sheinbaum granted permission for Mexican Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch to attend a US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) security conference in Argentina, overturning an earlier decision to abstain from the event.
